@Steve Trottier - That's hilarious. I do remember that trick but it only worked at Classic. Trying to cheat the machines was a lot better than skating the "snowball". Brings back so many memories. I was so excited when Classic Waterslides went in.

@Brett Nordquist - LOL, I think I tried the spinning pennies thing but don't remember it working. Another thing that DID work though was skating around on the carpeted area surrounding the skating area at Classic, and then holding out a quarter to the Battle Zone machine and getting a credit just from the static shock.

@Steve Trottier - Steve, thanks for the kind words. I remember the old taped quarters trick although I was never very good at it. Do you remember spinning pennies into the Pac Mac machine?

Hey, I was the guy over at the Asteroids machine taping a thread to the quarter so I could get a handful of credits from one coin. At least you earned your pinball credits and your jukebox songs. Well written. You’re my new favorite blogger, Brett.
