Is short battery life behind lack of movies on iTunes?

Possibly, according to Paul Thurrott who says that the major studios are currently in discussions with Apple to license movie downloads from iTunes. Jobs is smart enough to understand that very few people will download newer movies for $28 when that same DVD is available from Target or Wal-Mart for half that amount. I used to buy a lot of DVDs but now I pretty much just wait until they come to DirecTV PPV. I still do buy a number of kids DVDs since they get watched over and over.
