Here’s a speed test from my home in Auburn, WA on Qwest DSL. I’ve had DSL with Qwest for the past two years and can only remember one or two times when my service has been down for more than 30 minutes. I could get Comcast’s service here but at over $50/month it’s not that Comcastic! That’s only $5 less than I pay for my local phone line + DSL service.

How fast is your connection and what do you pay for it? Test it here.
21015 down, 1598 up… comcast in woodinville
seems “wrong” but hey, it’s apples to apples with your numbers…
you need voip dude, you still have a real phone?
and if you “have” to pay for basic cable anyway, with the “bundle” it works out pretty good.

Those are incredible speeds with Comcast. I think I’d consider VOIP if it would work with my DirecTivo. And since I don’t have Comcast cable, they charge you more for broadband which means Comcast would come in at nearly 3x what I get DSL for. But I’d still love those speeds and might be forced to change once we get an HD set. Just having a really hard time giving up Tivo for that Comcast DVR that nobody seems to care for.
