I’ve been looking for a good WordPress editor. A friend of mine told me about Windows Live Writer which I tried to install tonight. For some reason it appears to install but I can’t find the program. Not off to a good start there. A while back to tried wbloggar but gave it up after a while. I’m going to try it again for a few days and see how I like it.
I’ve tried a few different plugins that add functionality to the WordPress editor but they all loaded so slowly. I don’t want to take a substantial performance hit just to update my blog.
We’ll see how this goes.

I’m a developer on the Writer team. Sorry that you had trouble finding the application after you installed it. A couple of things:
1) When the installation completed, it should’ve launched the app. If this didn’t happen, something probably failed in the installation.
2) You should find a shortcut at Start>Programs>Windows Live>Windows Live Writer. If one isn’t there, something probably failed in the installation.
You may want to try installing again given the above. Sorry that you ran into this!!!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I just installed it here on my laptop at work just fine. I tried a few test posts and really like it. Other tools I’ve used have provided poor performance but Windows Live Writer seems quite speedy. I’m not sure why it didn’t work for me at home but I’ll try it again tonight.
