I don’t want to know how much quarters I burned through playing Pac Man in the 80’s. I’m sure enough that I could have purchased my own machine. It took a while but once I learned the Pac Man pattern I could play for hours on a few quarters. But running through the library in a Pac Man costume looks like even more fun.

IT Conversations
One of my favorite places to find good podcasts dealing with technology is at IT Conversations. I’ve been downloading some of the older podcasts from Bloggercon which have been some of the most interesting I’ve heard. You can download many podcasts for free or a full members is only $50/year which is a steal given the quality of the content.

White Sox Manager not aware he’s living in America
After calling a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times a homosexual slur, Ozzie Guillen, had this to say about his actions:
“I don’t have anything against those people. In my country, you call someone something like that and it is not the same as it is in this country.”
Maybe Guillen should go back to his country, Venezuela. That’s Ozzie on the left kissing one his players.

Philips Norelco has BEEP
This ad for the Body Groom shaver from Philips Norelco reminds of the wacky subservient chicken ad that Burger King ran a while back. I couldn’t stop laughing though as I watched it. Very clever.

How much good will does $200 buy?
A lot if you’re the CEO of Hooters. He is one smart guy. When he realized that $200 worth of Dom Perignon had been purchased with Hurricane Katrina funds at one of his establishments, he offered to send a $200 check to FEMA.
Now many major news outlets (including MSNBC) pi
ckup the story and also mention the $250,000 Hooters has donated to Red Cross Katrina Fund. This seems like a lot of positive publicity for a company for basically nothing.
Weird Toyota Commercial – Human Touch
A very different commercial for the new Toyota Camry. Their tagline is “Human Touch” but I couldn’t help but thinking it should something along the lines of “Every Camry comes with many engineers”. Unlike most ads, I’d watch this one to the end.
